Do you have questions about being pregnant?

If you have questions or problems during pregnancy, the pregnancy counselling services can help. You can find an overview at Netzwerk Frühe Hilfen (support for families and children from the start of pregnancy up to the age of 3):

Are you looking for information and services for when you first have a baby?

The Kinderbüro Frankfurt has a booklet on its website that provides information about what life is like with a baby. The booklet can be downloaded in different languages: Arabic, German, English, French, Polish, Spanish and Turkish.

The Wegweiser Frühe Hilfen guide of the City of Frankfurt am Main lists services for pregnant women and families with children from 0 to 6 years of age:

The Kinderschutzbund e.V.'s baby guides offer support in over 20 languages on all questions about life with a newborn. You can contact baby guides while you are pregnant or ask for one when you are in hospital. There are baby guides in all the maternity clinics in Frankfurt:

Children's and family centres in various districts offer, for example:

  • Open meetings for mothers, fathers and children
  • Parent-child groups
  • Parenting courses
  • Antenatal classes to help prepare for your baby’s birth and to help you through the first few months with your baby
  • Music and movement for parents and children
  • Information and advice for parents

Have you got questions about maternity protection and parental allowance?

You can find all the information you need about maternity protection, parental allowance and parental leave on the family portal of the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth. The information is in Bulgarian, German, English, French, Greek, Italian, Croatian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian and Spanish.
